“The Rocky Mountains take your breath away. The Flint Hills let you catch your breath.”
Prairie is a coffee shop that is located in Manhattan, KS. Its design is based on biophilic design inspired by the Kansas flint hills. The plan is inspired by a drive down the roads through the hills. The goal is to create a calming atmosphere that connects people to nature and Manhattan. The prairie embodies a simple way of life connected to nature. The lighting is calming and peaceful. The colors used are inspired by the Kansas Sunsets. The forms are simplified and inspired by the rolling hills.
